Director’s Message
A Vision Rooted in Compassion and Excellence
The journey of Itawa College of Nursing began with a simple yet profound vision — to create a place where aspiring nurses could receive quality education in an environment that inspires compassion, critical thinking, and service to humanity.
Dr. Lubanga Muyumba, a passionate healthcare professional and visionary leader, established the college to bridge the gap between theory and practice in nursing education. With years of experience in both clinical and academic settings, Dr. Muyumba recognized the need for an institution that not only imparts knowledge but also nurtures empathy, discipline, and integrity in future nurses.
Building a Legacy of Quality Education
Under Dr. Muyumba’s leadership, Itawa College of Nursing has grown into a respected institution known for its modern facilities, dedicated faculty, and a student-centered learning approach. His belief that “nursing is not just a career but a calling to serve with compassion” continues to guide the college’s mission and culture.
A Message to Our Students
“Every nurse we train represents a life that will be touched, healed, and comforted. My dream is to see Itawa graduates transform healthcare in Zambia and beyond through their skill, dedication, and compassion.”
